The music legend, Lou Reed, died Sunday, Oct. 27, according to Rolling Stone . He was 71.
The cause of death has not yet been revealed, but it had undergone a liver transplant in May, according to the magazine.
The New Yorker by birth, one of the pioneers of rock music, is best known for being a founding member of The Velvet Underground in the late 60s and his illustrious career then spread over nearly three decades .
The band released four albums together, and he even drew the attention 'of Andy Warhol . Reed wrote and sang several songs with his legendary group, "Heroin," "Sister Ray," "Sweet Jane" and "Rock and Roll".
Reed left the group in 1970 to launch a solo career. His second album, Transformer, produced by David Bowie , has strengthened its status on the rock scene.

Nigerian chart toppers and music authorities Flavour, Sound Sultan, Chidinma and Kcee are collaborating with South African kwaito star Professor on the title track for Shuga (series 3), the hotly-anticipated sex-and-relationships drama that premieres in Nigeria on 1 December (MTV Base, DStv Channel 322).

Chris Brown is heading to rehab as his representative confirmed the news Tuesday evening with the statement: "Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point. This came a day after the DC ‘Incident’ that landed him 24 hours in jail and also put him on the path towards a possible prison sentence, but he will be in a rehabilitation facility as his next court date approaches. After the rehab news hit, the singer wrote on twitter:
According to CNN, the Los Angeles County district attorney appears in no mood to cut C-Breezy any breaks, which has folk speculating that prosecutors will ask for jail time for him because of the arrest.

Prosecutors have declined to comment on if they will seek to put him behind bars.There has been no information as to where he’s headed to (for rehab) or how long he’ll be staying.
"Desperate Housewives Africa" To Kick Off In Nigeria
Newly launched TV station "EbonyLife TV" and "Disney Media Distribution EMEA" have set the ball rolling for the shoot of the new TV series of Desperate Housewives Africa which will be based on the hit American TV series, Desperate Housewives. EbonyLife TV’s CEO Mo Abudu has come out to say that the show will have “an African soul” and will feature a cast of new and established pan-African talent that will showcase fashion by Nigerian dress designers.
The TV series that is set to get on air in the summer of 2014 will be filmed on locations in Lekki, Lagos and as Disney EMEA general manager "Giovanni Mastrangelo" puts it, "it will have the opportunity to engage African audiences through locally relevant and entertaining storytelling.”
Desperate Housewives have been produced in Turkey, Argentina, Brazil and the United States in Spanish.
