Collabos we didn’t expect.

7 unlikely collabos

2014 has been a year of massive collaborations. From P-Square and T.I’s “Ejeajo” to Wizkid’s reported collabo with Rihanna. Some nailed it and some well… not so much. In no particular order, we present the Top 7 Unlikely Collabos of 2014. Unlikely… not impossible!

P-Square feat T.I – Ejeajo

We saw this one this one coming. The duo seems to be taking a new direction with their music and this is proof. In this fun feel good song featuring TIP aka T.I., they sing about taking it all around the world.

DJ Clock feat - Beatenberg - Pluto (Remember You)

Who ever thought of a mega hit could come out of fusing house and pop? Well thanks to this song’s addictive guitar and smooth vocals, among other things, DJ Clock’s “Pluto (Remember You)” has gone from topping charts to introducing the DJ to a whole new audience. It’s fresh, its sing-along and it sounds effortless and that makes it all kinds of amazing.

2face feat Bridget Kelly - Let Somebody Love You

‘Let somebody love you’, Let somebody touch you’, 2Face sings with Roc Nation's Bridget Kelly in this 90s sounding track. Earlier this year, he also dropped a video with T-Pain.

DJ Kent feat The Arrows - Spin My World Around

Even though this song was released late last year, it only fully blew up this year hence this spot on the list. Kent led the pack with this new wave of pop/house sounds with "Spin My World" featuring pop duo The Arrows. For a while it was the song of the moment, dominating charts and all and much like its title it left us spinning, literally.

Vince Kidd feat Ice Prince - Manga Life

Even though this list is for 2014 collaborations, I included this song because, well let’s face it, they’re not that many ‘Unlikely Collaborations’ out there.

And by the way, we're still not sure what "Manga Life" is but that's OK because the song itself is pretty dope!

Mi Casa feat Ladysmith Black Mambazo - My Sugar

Mi Casa surprised us with is song featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Simply titled “My Sugar”, the track talks about love and beauty.

And the best part about the song? Hearing that traditional classic guitar against those distinct voices of L.S.B.M.

Wizkid feat Rihanna - Unknown

Even though this collaboration hasn't dropped yet we couldn't help but add it to the list. The Star Boy announced the Riri collabo in an interview back in July. And considering how long he has made us wait for his album, we’re pretty sure we got a long wait ahead till we hear this one.
