9ice has finally cleared the air on why his proteges left his Alapomeji Records label. It was reported that Seriki, Wise, Kayefi, Snow and Ajayi Brovaz had all left the label earlier in the year. Finally speaking on the report, he said there was nothing signed with them so they were free to leave.
The ‘Alapomeji’ platform as he said was to serve as a platform for them to exhibit their talents similar to what ID Cabasa offered him until he broke out. He reportedly said: ‘What I did then was putting them on as upcoming artistes. If you ask anyone of them, I never signed an agreement with anyone. I didn’t sign them on, all I did was give them a platform whereby they can exhibit their talent to let people know about them…’
He restated that there was no bad blood between himself and the artistes.
