Did Usher steal “Caught Up”?
Usher will be back in court soon but this time it’s not over the custody battle between him and his ex-wife Tameka. Instead TMZ reports that a group of songwriters, Zacharia Edwards, Mitch Moses and Vince McClean, claim the singer stole his massive hit “Caught Up” from them.
Apparently the songwriters played the single for an administrator at Usher’s record label. Two years later they heard the Usher version on radio but didn’t receive any credit for it.
True or not, “Caught Up” is almost ten years old so it’s doubtful whether they’ll have a strong case.
