Taylor Swift Sons Kanye West After Winning Best Album Over Kendrick Lamar

If you thought Taylor Swift winning Best Album would be the only headline from the occurance, think again.

You could feel a collective eye-rolling as the country singer stepped onto the stage to accept the award many believed Kendrick Lamar should've taken home. But then, a twist emerged as someone who wasn't even at The Grammys was pulled in. Kanye West. 

After thanking everyone for her victory, Swift went for blood and subbed 'Ye in the wake of him reffering to her as a "b***h" on his recently released album, The Life of Pablo.

"There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," she told the audience. "But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and know that it was you."

A representative of Taylor Swift refuted Kanye's claims that she approved of his lyrics referring to her prior to their release. She also called the words he used ones with a "strong misogynistic message."

As for Kendrick Lamar, he won awards for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. He also killed the stage with a set of his own that took the cake as far as we’re concerned. Check out a list of 2016 Grammy Award winners here.
