Spotlight on 8 African football WAGs
For those who are not aware, WAGs is a term used to refer to the Wives and Girlfriends of high-profile athletes. While a majority of the focus will be on what's happening on the pitch, occasionally the WAGs in the stands take some of the limelight away from their boyfriends and husbands. 

We take a look at some the WAGs of some of the continent's leading footballers. 

Adaeze Yobo 
Married to Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo, Adaeze is a former beauty queen who was once named the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria. She's a model, UN youth ambassador for peace, mother of one, and also step-daughter to former football player John Fashanu



Sarah Fallon 
British wife of Nigerian football star Osaze Peter Odemwingie and mother of two sons, Noah and Theo. 



Melaye Donkor 
Wife of Ghanaian professional footballer Sulley Muntari. Melaye is a model, actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is also a former beauty queen who was named Miss Universe Ghana 2004 and represented Ghana at Miss Universe 2004 where she got to the quarter-finals. 



Mellisa Satta 
If you've never heard of Melissa Satta, fiancée of Ghanaian footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng, the Italian-born model is kind of a big deal in Italy. This 28-year-old hot model has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated and Italian Maxim



Diakite Lalla 
She's the beautiful wife of Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba. In 2011, Drogba gave her the wedding of her dreams in Monaco. The ceremony was officiated by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich
Unlike her hubby, the beautiful Mrs. Drogba is very shy and likes to stay out of the spotlight. 



Anedie Azael 
Not only does she have beauty and brains but also heart. Salomon Kalou's girlfriend is a professional model, activist and former Miss Haiti Universe 2011. 



Georgette Eto’o 
Married to one of the richest sportsmen and most decorated African footballer Samuel Eto'o. Cameroon's answer to Victoria Beckham, the stylish mother mother of two - Siena and Lynn - is a regular on the European fashion circuit. 



Olivia Song
Wife of Cameroon and Barcelona midfielder Alexandre Song.
Olivia and Alex were childhood sweethearts and they eventually got married after years of being together. The couple has two sons together, Nolan and Kaylian.
