After 17 years of working together, Fuji star, King Wasiu Ayinde, Kwam 1, has parted ways with his manager, Percy Ademokun.

His new handshake is now with Adebayo Olasoju, pictured with him here.

Olasoju Adebayo was born on the 31st of May, 1978 in Isolo. He is the fourth child out of five boys.
He had his primary and secondary school educations at Faronbi Primary School, Isolo and Matori Grammar School, Okota, Isolo. Bayo is currently taking a Diploma course in Business Management at the Stratford Academy of Business in the UK. A professional film-maker, Bayo’s love for film-making made him to acquire formal and informal training. He has a diploma certificate in film-making.
He is a producer/director. Some of his works include Ayoporo, Adejare and Health is Wealth. He has attended seminars on film-making both locally and internationally.
He began his political voyage during the Zero Party dispensation of 1995. Thereafter, he was Acting Secretary, Ward F1 under the platform of Grassroots Democratic Party (GDP) in 1997 and was also a founding member of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Ward F1 in 1998.
A member of the Congress Committee of Ward F1 in 2002 and Assistant Legal Officer, Action Congress (AC) in 2005. The following year, he held same position uptill 2008 when AC metarmophosed into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
Hon. Olasoju believes so much and admires the leadership style of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his political mentor, Dr Olasunkanmi Ayinde Marshal.
He loves adventure, traveling and watching football and is happily married to Olajumoke and they are blessed with two children.
Speaking to NET regarding the time he officially became K1’s manager, he said: ‘Actually, I’ve always been in the background, I was handling the political aspect of his connections and dealings. I’ve also worked in government too, I was a Special Adviser (Legislative) in my municipal council or local government council, I have also been a Personal Assistant to a House of Assembly member. I was acampaign manager for a House of Assembly member as well. For you to manage someone of K1’s status, two things must come to play, which are trust and confidence.

‘So he just called me and said ‘Bayo, those things you’ve been doing in the background, you’ll have to do it in the open now’ and when I said I’d take time to think about it, he said ‘there’s nothing to think about’ and that he would talk to my wife about it and that was it.’ When asked if there were others interested in managing K1 before he was chosen, Bayo’s reply was short: ‘Well, I don’t know, but what I know is that for you to manage K1, people see it as a juicy career because of who he is. My boss is the only one in the whole world that would never owe you, and till today my relationship with Uncle Percy is very cordial, he’s my boss, my brother and confidant.’

Although he hasn’t managed any other artistes before now, his plans are to take the K1 brand to the next level, saying: ‘The first thing is we will put God first in all we do, do our best and leave the rest to God. We can’t compete with what is on ground already, we can only improve and consolidate on it. We just came back from a tour to Miami and Mexico, next we will be taking a couple of hip-hop acts such as May D, Honey Bee and Oritsefemi on tour to Europe. We will be in over 49 cities including Houston, Chicago, London, Germany, Spain, Holland, Italy, New Yok
