Drake makes forbes wealthiest hip-hop artists list

Drake’s cash is pretty much like his sales - just keeps stacking up. Ask Forbes; they just placed him fifth on The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists 2016.
Drizzy is estimated to hold a net worth of $60 million. The “6 god” taking the fifth spot means he knocks 50 Cent off the list, in part, due to Fiddy’s bankruptcy filing last year. The only rappers richer than Drake are Diddy, Dr Dre, Jay Z and Birdman.
Drake made the most of his cash from a combination of multi-platinum records, million-dollar-grossing tours and massive endorsements from the likes of Apple Music, Sprite, Jordan and his soon-to-be released whiskey, Virginia Black. His net worth also includes an $8 million Hidden Hills estate, his OVO Sound record label and merchandise business.
Back in 2013, Drake told Forbes, “Every year, we just want to get more prepared and better at touring and better at things that make money." He obviously wasn’t kidding.
With ‘Views from the 6’ set to be his biggest charting debut ever (analysts predict he will push a million units in week one) and a massive supporting tour with Future coming up to promote it, Drake seems to have a shot at moving up the list. To read up on the rest of hip hop’s wealthiest, head over to Forbes.
