Wizkid signs 3 ghanaian musicians to his label

This weekend was all about celebrating the biggest talents in Ghanaian music. The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took place on Saturday (7 May) and we saw major stars like Sarkodie, EL and Bisa Kdei walk away with a handful of awards on the night.

Another big winner was Nigerian star Wizkid, who was given the ‘African Artist of the Year’ award. If you look at the success he has achieved in the last few months, you have to agree that he deserved the accolade.

To celebrate the achievement, the singer decided to give back to Ghanaian music by signing three up and coming stars to his label, Starboy Worldwide Records.

Efya, R2bees and Mr Eazi will all be reporting to the Starboy CEO and judging from his success, you can be sure that their future is in good hands.

Efya recently shared an image of herself and Wizkid in studio, so this deal has clearly been in the works for a while. We wonder what kind of music she will release under Starboy Records.
