Wizkid puts a pidgin spin on kent Jones’ “dont mind”

Wizkid has been accused of neglecting his Nigerian audience with some of his latest music. A few popular music writers have alleged that he’s only catering to his Western market with some of his latest releases. Pulse Nigeria’s Joey Akan wrote this about him:

“Wizkid has in the past promised a lot of Nigerian records and failed to drop it. From albums to mixtapes, to Eps, there have been no promise kept, no announcement followed up. Where he promised an EP, he gave us a snippet in ‘Baba Nla (Final)’. Another single ‘Sweet love’ which was promised, with an artwork released, was axed from the picture. This is slowly creating a chasm between the man and his fans.”

He hasn’t directly responded to this, but you can tell that he’s tried his best to re-inject some local flavour into his catalogue with some of the remixes he’s released this week.

One of the most popular remixes he dropped this week was his cover of Kent Jones’ smash hit, “Don’t Mind” and the Starboy put a Pidgin twist to it and renamed it “Rewind that”
