Jaden Smith Drops Album Via New App

The Carters done started something, and apparently Jaden Smith is following the #newrules well.
In a move befitting "the nicest rapper out" (according to Twitter follower @DanielSmuttz), Jaden dropped a surprise album, Cool Tape Vol. 2, via his own iTunes app, The Jaden Experience.

Well, it wasn't entirely a surprise. He's been releasing new songs this season and tweeted out a hint about his anticipated The Cool Cafe: Cool Tape Vol, 1 follow-up as recently as somewhere in between an in-store appearance at Beats with his sister, Willow Smith, and teasing their first interview together, published over at The New York Times.
"I've Worked On This Album For Two Years And Kendall Likes it So Here," he tweeted, once it was finally available. Good thing Kendall Jenner likes it, too. Jaden promised just earlier this month, "If Kendall Doesn't Enjoy One Of My Songs It Doesn't Come Out."
The Jaden Experience itself promises to be an ad-free one with unique controls and music that is exclusive to app users. The album includes features from Nigeria-born, Chicago-raised DJ/producer duo Christian Rich, and Willow.
Willow, by the way, as part of their well-crafted takeover, dropped her own project on Monday (Nov. 17), too. Her 3 EP with the song "9" featuring Top Dawg Entertainment's SZA is now available.
